Cupcake liner flower tree.

Cute right?
Found this tutorial and I personally think it's great for hantaran deco. ;)

Photos courtesy: paper crave

Supplies you’ll need:

a styrofoam tree form (I used a 9” tall form)
mini cupcake liners (1 1/4” to 1 3/8” size)
straight pins, preferably with a ball head
a hot glue gun and glue sticks
accessories for decorating (ribbon, decorative picks, etc.)

Directions:

1. Separate cupcake liners into groups of five. Flatten the liners, and poke a straight pin through the center of each group.

2. Gently “scrunch” the top cupcake liner around the pin head, taking care not to rip the paper.

3. Repeat the scrunching action for the remaining liners. When you’re finished, you’ll have a flower.

4. Using your thumb and forefinger, grab the flower at the bottom and press the liners together and away from the length of the pin. Add a bit of hot glue to the pin, and immediately insert into the styrofoam tree form.

5. Fold two or three layers of the liners over the pin head, taking care not to burn yourself on any hot glue that may have found its way toward the pin head, and press the pin head in until it’s flush with the tree form. Hold in place for five to ten seconds, until the glue starts to cool and the pin is firmly attached. Fluff and adjust the flower “petals”, if needed. Continue adding cupcake liner flowers, starting at the bottom of the form and working your way around and up, until the entire form is covered. Add embellishments and decorations to the tree to coordinate with your occasion, if desired.

Finally I (terasa) nak berpenglipurlara...

Hello dearies,

It's been a loooooong time I tak properly blog dekat sini. I have few stuffs untuk diblogkan apart from my wedding story but I just couldn't get my arse out untuk type anything here. So dia jadi macam sunyi sepi without any new updates. But I still bloghopping here and there singgah-singgah dekat most b2bs and puan-puan lain punya blog. But still..sigh me.

Anyway kronologi from cerita yang tergantung after my nikah story, now I nak cerita about my reception pula. I AM SO THANKFUL TO GOD that my wedding berlangsung tanpa ada apa-apa yang tak diingini berlaku on that very day. Tapi tipu la kan if I cakap my event sangat perfect. No, no, no. Macam mana perfect pun mesti ada cacat cela 'coz we human are not that perfect pun. But before my wedding I dah cleanse my soul, so I'm not that really stressed out pun during my W-day. Syukur-syukur...

That very morning saya bangun, yeah Encik Rocker wasn't by my side pun. He went home after nikah. But that's not the story anyway. :D Bangun, bangun takdelah rasa macam on cloud nine ke apa yang senyum-senyum seorang diri sambil pergi toilet. Nah. Instead I felt numb 'coz event semalam dah berjaya but event today macam I dunno what to expect apa disaster akan datang. So I pun pergi mandi, muntah-muntah sikit, minum orange juice with nothing and off duduk seorang diri. I saw orang lain semua huru-hara but I remain calm dekat situ. I knew back in my mind meja beradap tak siap decorate lagi, bunga dekat meja beradap tak siap susun lagi and my wedding guestbook macam agak huru-hara tak decorate nicely as per plan. At that time cuma mampu fikir the consequences if I nak buat semua benda but time sangat limited, so off I tolak the job dekat orang lain. Yes, I wanna look flawless time wedding tanpa ada rasa nak menangis or maki hamun bagai. Seriously, you people do not wanna see me time menangis. Horror.

So tak lama lepas tu Fina, my MUA pun sampai and us two terus shoot pergi make-up. Fast forward I pun dah siap. The INITIAL plan was to tie my hair with different kinda hairstyle but at that time I macam dah malas nak fikir and macam kesian dekat Fina 'coz after she make-up I she kena shoot pergi Klang with her family untuk tengok her hubby masuk competition so we agreed to opt for whatever hairstyle yang she boleh buat. I know it's my wedding and I have full control of it but at that time I just don't wanna push myself untuk benda-benda kecil 'coz I don't wanna get dissappointed later on and the reception hanyalah a celebration and sedekah to tetamu yang hadir. The important moment wasn't that moment (the persandingan) but the day before-nya, which is my Nikah day. :)

Oh penat...sambung next chapter la yea? :)

The {simple} bunga deco for my meja beradap.

The meja beradap. Thanks to my aunties and neighbours and cousins sebab tolong decorate my meja beradap. :)

The wedding guestbook yang separa siap but out untuk di-sign during my reception.

Floristika Bangsar.

I know..I know..I think most previous b2b(s) dah banyak kali mention about Floristika Bangsar. But I still nak mention juga in my blog since maybe ada yang maybe tak pernah tahu/perasan/baru nak tahu adanya warehouse yang jual bunga dengan harga yang super cheap from most kedai bunga. :)

And yeah baru semalam I pergi dengan Encik Rocker. Okay us two sangat rambang mata (lagi rambang mata dekat Floristika daripada time kitaorang pergi Cameron kot) eventhough dekat Floristika macam dah nak habis stok je the bunga-bunga. And yeah their having sale right now. 90% woo!

So here I attached their website punya link. You guys can click here. And a map to go there as well. :)

Cheers!

Wishing tree.

Oh god! Now us two dah start malas-malas dah. We go lepak berembun dengan our friends and not-thinking about our wedding preparation. We shouldn't do that! We have our own target date untuk settle-kan our wedding preparation. *bridezilla mode*

Since friday we had TOOOO much fun. So today paksa juga la diri untuk resume what we had pending-kan since last week. Okay... (ambil mood) I think antara cara paling murah and simple untuk guests drop us wedding wishes would be bagi 1 pokok and ask 'em to gantung the wishes dekat pokok tu. Brilliant tak? (hahahaha). Ala tu je antara cara yang termurah since duit dah mengalir macam air. *sigh*

*So now dah kena start figure out how I wannit to be. *penat*

Roses from dollar bill (not Ringgit Malaysia) - part 2.

Lupa nak post-kan the video. :D

This video pun I suka. :)

Roses from dollar bill (not Ringgit Malaysia).

Atas sebab-sebab tertentu. my dear girlfriend macam tak dapat nak dipertanggungjawabkan untuk mengubah my mahar as a bouquet of roses. T__T So terpaksalah google-google cari tutorial untuk buat roses out of wang kertas.

Found one though. Can't wait to try it out. :)
(I copy the whole damn post sebab nanti nk buat senang I buka my page je)

Supplies needed:
1. 5 dollar bills
2. Thin floral/ bending wire
3. Green floral tape
4. Toothpick

Tutorial:

You need to start with 5 pieces of paper the same size as dollar bills - or of course you can fold dollar bills if you want. If you choose to fold dollar bills, they need to be new and crisp so they will hold their shape.

Fold each piece of paper in half lengthwise. You want to keep the "pretty" side on the outside, if there is one. I am folding these on a go board, so you can see the relative size of the objects as we go.

Unfold your pieces of paper. With a toothpick, curl in the four corners of the paper. These curls will be the curls of the rose petals. Make the curls nice and tight. It can take patience to get the edge of the paper to 'catch' on the toothpick to start curling, you can try making that tip a little wet to help it with the initial curl.

Cut a piece of wire for this petal. In this photo I have a short piece of wire, but you can use long pieces if you want to have a long stem. Remember, the wire is going to fold in half so you want the wire to be DOUBLE the length of your finished stem. Lay the wire along the inside of the fold of this petal.

You need to do this part gently so the paper does not tear. Squash in the base of the petal, where the wire is, and twist the wire closed to form the stem for this petal. There's no real order to how you sqash it in, just mush it into a point. At first the paper might resist as it is stiff, but if you mush it up for a while it will soften up and form that point better.

As you do this, you want to 'shape' the petal. You want both parts of the petal to bend the same way, so that they form sort of a gentle cup. A way to imagine it is that the two petals are like your tongue, and the wire is at the base of your tongue (where it connects at the back of your throat). If you curled the tip of your tongue, the middle part of your tongue would form a cup. That is what you want with this petal - both halves forming a cup together.

The very first petal you make is going to be the "innermost" petal of the rose, and when you look at a rose, that one is usually very thin and very curled. So this first one should have the most curled edges of the bunch.

It gets a bit more tricky here because now you are working in three dimensions. Start with that first petal in the middle. Curl those edges in tightly so it forms that thin inner petal pair. Now, hold that first petal pair so you are looking straight down on it. Imagine that the top of the petals, the pair of curved curled edges, is like a smile. You are looking down at that smile. The second and third petal pairs are going to be on the SIDES of the smile. It would be like you put a pair of ( ) around the left and right side of the smile.

I show you a top-down view of this grouping of three petal sets in this photo. The next photo will show a top down view to help explain this. This is a hard thing to explain, as it is a three dimensional thing. But if you look at it from the top, and if I use the equals sign to represent that center first pair of petals, then what you are doing looks like this: (( = ))

So the first petal pair is horizontal, and then the second and third are pressed against the left and right sides, both oriented vertically. Look at the next picture to understand this.

This is a second photo of the rose formation, to help you understand how it works. You have the center pair of petals pointing at you like a smile, then the second and third pairs pressed against either side as if to 'hug' that innermost set.

OK, now we add petal sets 4 and 5, and once again we put them on the top and bottom, 'hugging' the core of the rose we've already built. So this fills out the circular shape and the petal selection. This photo is a bit fuzzy but shows you the shape.

Wrap all the wires together, and then wrap green floral tape around all of the wire, to have a nice, green stem. You can add a dab of glue at the top and bottom of the tape to keep it from unravelling. I only have a short stem here but you can of course create a nice long stem if you want, and even add green leaves to it.
